用表示時(shí)間的連詞連接一個(gè)句子作狀語(yǔ)，這樣的主從復(fù)合句就是時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句。連接時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的連接詞有:when, before, after, while, as soon as, until, since...... 這里要注意一點(diǎn)的是，如果主句是

時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句常見連詞用法：

since

意為“自從；自……以來(lái)”，主句常用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)或現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)，從句常用一般過(guò)去時(shí)。 例如： I have worked in this company since I graduated from university. 我從大學(xué)畢業(yè)后就在這家公司工作。 before 意為“在……之前”。 例如：

She wants to see youbeforeyou go.

她想在你走之前見見你。

after

意為“在……之后”。

例如：

You need to brush your teeth after eating to have good teeth.

為了牙齒健康，你吃完?yáng)|西應(yīng)該刷牙。

till/until

意為“直到……為止”，常用于“not...until...”結(jié)構(gòu)中，表示“直到……才……”。

例如：

I’m really tired because I studied until midnight last night.

我非常累，因?yàn)槲易蛲韺W(xué)習(xí)到了半夜

as

(1)意為“當(dāng)……的時(shí)候”。

例如：

Asyou go along the river, the London Eye is on your right.

當(dāng)你沿著河邊走的時(shí)候，倫敦眼就在你的右邊。

例如：

while

意為“當(dāng)……時(shí)，在……時(shí)”，引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞常用延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞或表示狀態(tài)的動(dòng)詞。

例如：

While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework.

當(dāng)琳達(dá)睡覺時(shí)，珍妮正在幫瑪麗完成作業(yè)。

when

意為“當(dāng)……時(shí)”，引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞既可以是延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞，也可以是瞬間性動(dòng)詞。

例如：

I feel very happy when you come to see me.

你們來(lái)看我，我感到非常開心。

as soon as

意為“一……就……”，引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句常用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)表示將來(lái)。

例如：

My mom came over as soon as I sat down in front of the TV.
