中考英語(yǔ)知識(shí)點(diǎn)：所有格的應(yīng)用

1.用于表示有生命的

John’s car

a girls’ school 一所女子學(xué)校

the heroes’ return 英雄們的歸來

a doctor’s degree 博士學(xué)位

a children’s hospital 一所兒童醫(yī)院

my brother-in-law’s car 我姐夫的汽車

somebody else’s unbrella 別人的傘

a week or two’s delay 一兩個(gè)星期的耽誤

the President of America’s plane 美國(guó)總統(tǒng)的飛機(jī)

2.表示時(shí)間、距離、國(guó)家、城市、重量、價(jià)值

Today’s paper

a year’s time

five minutes’ walk= a five-minute walk

A pound’s weight

four dollars’ worth

3.名詞之后有同位語(yǔ)時(shí)，把’s 加在同位語(yǔ)的詞尾而形成所有格

Have you seen my brother, John’s bicycle?

I bought this book at Smith, the bookseller’s 我是在書商史密斯那里買的書

若同位語(yǔ)時(shí)由and連接的兩個(gè)名詞組成，或者同位語(yǔ)后有介詞短語(yǔ)，則’s應(yīng)加在同位語(yǔ)前的名詞后

I bought the book at Smith, the bookseller in Main Street.

These works were Lu Xun’s, the great revolutionary and writer.

4.表示兩者或以上共同所有把’s加在最后的名詞上

My father and mother’s friends

Tom and Henry’s room faces north.

5.表示各自擁有時(shí)

Tom’s and Henry’s rooms face north.

Japan’s and America’s problems

6.用于集體名詞

The government’s policy政府的政策

The Party’s leadership

7.表示文化藝術(shù)及工業(yè)、科技等名詞

Industry’s development 工業(yè)的發(fā)展

Science’s wonders 科學(xué)的奇跡

8.表示某人的家或店鋪，所有格后的名詞常常省略

go to Tom’s = go to Tom’s house

at the tailor’s = at the tailor’s shop 裁縫鋪

the barber’s = the barber’s shop

the Zhangs’張家

at the doctor’s 在診所

9.習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)

a child’s play 容易干的事

a stone’s throw 一箭之遙

a cat’s paw 受人利用的人

in one’s mind’s eye 在某人心目中

at death’s door 瀕臨死亡

at one’s wit’s end 黔驢技窮

at one’s finger’s end易如反掌

10.用于表天體的名詞后：

the moon’s rays 月光

the earth’s surface 地球表面

所有格的語(yǔ)法功能

The teacher’s is at the end of the street.老師的家在街道盡頭(主語(yǔ))
